Betty Jean Osborn, 89, of Loogootee

Betty Jean Osborn, 89, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Friday November 11, 2022, surrounded by her family at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, Indiana.

She was born on January 19, 1933, in Burns City, Indiana to Oval Ray and Pearl I. (Reynolds) Garrett.

Betty was a Loogootee High School Graduate Class of 1951. Betty married Robert L. Osborn on July 26, 1952. She attended the Terre Haute School of Cosmetology graduating as a licensed beautician. Betty owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop in Burns City, Indiana. She was a member of Odon Christian Church. Betty loved to spoil her grand- dog Sebastian, cook-outs at the lake, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oval and Pearl Garrett, her husband Robert L. Osborn who passed away on February 1, 2014, her brother Harold Garrett, and niece Cindy Martin.

Betty is survived by her children, David (Vonda) Osborn of Loogootee, Indiana, Diana (Andrew) Gilbert of Greenville, South Carolina, 4 Grandchildren, Davida Cartwright of Terre Haute, Indiana, Nicole (Billy) Sanders of Marshall, Illinois, Jeramey Osborn of Loogootee, Indiana, Marya Gilliland of Loogootee, Indiana, and 6 Great- Grandchildren, Kyle Sanders, Samuel Cartwright, Ashley Sanders, Craig Cartwright, Owen Gilliland, Aydan Gilliland, Sister – in – Law, Orvada Garrett of Washington, Indiana, several nieces, nephews and friends.

A Graveside burial will be held at 11:00 A.M on Tuesday November 15, 2022, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, Indiana with Ron Gee – Elder at Odon Christian Church to officiate.
