Betty J. Drexler, age 86 of Jasper
Betty J. Drexler, age 86 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Center in Jasper.
She was born at Huntingburg, Indiana, on February 15, 1933 to Ben and Stella (Zink) Heidorn. She married Donald Drexler on November 14, 1953. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1991.
Betty retired as the Art Teacher at the Southbridge High School after over 20 years of teaching.
She received her master’s degree from Indiana University and her bachelor degree from Oakland City University.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Holland where she sang in the choir, and the Dubois County Art Guild.
She enjoyed music and sang at local nursing home with her family group, Generations. She loved her family, her animals, her flower garden and scrabble.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are three sisters, Evelyn Kehrer, Dorothy Miller, Marcella Miller also two brothers, Robert and Gerald Heidorn.
Funeral services for Betty Drexler will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Service Time on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at the funeral Home.
