Betty F. Gromer, 95, of Dublin, Pennsylvania

Betty F. Gromer, 95, of Dublin, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest on October 27th, 2021 at Abington Hospice at Warminster, Warminster Township, Pennsylvania.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on December 16th, 1925 to James Edward “Ed” and Bernice (Dove) Gromer.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, (1) Brother – Bill Gromer and wife Agnes, (1) Sister – Rosemary Kalb and husband Dale, and (2) Nephews – Doug Gromer and Larry Kalb.

She graduated from French Lick High School with the Class of 1943 and went to Eastern Pilgrim College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she earned a Business Degree. Betty then went on to attain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, as well as Kutztown, Pennsylvania. Later she earned her Master’s Degree in Education.

Betty began her professional career in education as a kindergarten and first grade teacher at the Lower Milford Elementary School in the Southern Lehigh District. Then, she taught first grade at the Frederick County School in Frederick, Maryland for many years. Later, Betty kindergarten at the Neighborhood Learning Center at Christ Community Church in Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania until retiring in 1999 after 11 years of service. Throughout her teaching career, she touched the hearts and live of many students.

She gave her life to Christ at 12 years old in the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church. After relocating to Pennsylvania, she became a member of Christ Community Church in Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania where she served as the choir director. Betty taught Sunday school for adult and teen classes, and led Bible studies in her home for many years. Betty was always a strong witness for God and touched many lives but did so in a soft and subtle way.

Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and riding her lawn mower.

She is survived by:

Longtime Best Friend - Sue Jurin Dublin, Pennsylvania

Many great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Friday, November 5th, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation will be Friday, November 5th, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
