Bertram “Bucky” Hollinden, 90, of St. Henry
Bertram “Bucky” Hollinden, 90, of St. Henry, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
Bertram was born February 25, 1929 in Ferdinand to Alfred J. “Fatty” and Mary (Leonard) Hollinden. He married Dorothy Kapp on June 2, 1956 in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. Bertram was retired from North American Corp. where he was a Hammersmith for 35 years.
He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion. Bertram was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Henry Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and being with family and friends.
Bertram is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Hollinden of St, Henry; six sons, Dennis (Maria) Hollinden of Falls Church VA., Linus Hollinden of St. Henry, Thomas (Beth) Hollinden of Huntingburg, David (Terri) Hollinden of Ireland, Daniel Hollinden of Jasper and Leo (Janelle) Hollinden of St. Henry; one daughter, Jane (Richard) Mehling of Huntingburg; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bertram was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred L. Hollinden and a sister, Thelma Hancock.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Henry Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 will provide military graveside rights. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8:00 at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Henry Volunteer Fire Dept. or St. Henry Church.
