Ann M. Harder, age 78 of Jasper
Ann M. Harder, age 78 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home at 4:51 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 surrounded by family.
Ann was born in St. Henry, Indiana on May 24, 1942 to Martin and Augusta (Brinkman) Jochum. She married Jim Harder on December 29, 1960 in St. Henry Catholic Church.
She was a 1960 graduate of Holland High School.
Ann spent many years in the office furniture industry as a customer service representative. After retirement, she enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona, where she gathered many new friends from all over the U.S. and Canada.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper.
She enjoyed taking care of her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Jim Harder of Jasper, three sons; Mike Harder (Christy), Jasper, Mark Harder (Lynn), Phoenix, AZ, and Mel Harder (Robyn), Indianapolis, IN, two grandchildren; Ryan and Adam Harder, and one great grandchild; Kade Harder, one brother; Dennis Jochum (Carol), Huntingburg.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass time at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, or a favorite charity. The family would like to express thanks to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassion, care, and support.
