JASPER -- A Dubois County man charged with attacking a Huntingburg Police officer with brass knuckles has been sentenced to prison time.
Austin Zehr pled guilty to Attempted Aggravated Battery, Intimidation, and Battery Against a Public Safety Official. He was sentenced to nine years in prison for the attack.
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Brian Lucchi says the case is a reminder of the risks that officers face willingly everyday as they go about the work of protecting the community. He adds this kind of violence against law enforcement will not be tolerated when it shows up in Dubois County.
