Zaxby's Officially Opens Jasper Restaurant with Ribbon Cutting

Jasper- Jasper’s newest restaurant will have you replacing your S’s with Z’s.

Zaxby’s opened its doors today with a ribbon cutting ceremony prior to their 10:30 am opening. Nearly one hundred people waited in line for the doors to open and watched as Director of Marketing Lucas James along with the Zaxby’s staff spoke with the Chamber of Commerce.

James is from Dubois County, graduating from Northeast Dubois Jr. /Sr. High School. He shared his joy in bringing a new place for Dubois residents to eat to his hometown.

“Absolutely joy, I’ve been pushing for six and a half years for this and we finally have it. I think it’s something that Jasper needs, it’s a little bit different from what they currently have. You can come after work or take meals home for the family. No waiting inside, we have the double drive thru. So absolute pride and joy.”  

As James says, time was the biggest obstacle in bringing the chicken restaurant to Jasper.

“Just time, as we grow and expand this will be our tenth or eleventh Zaxby’s in our franchise.”

In the words of James, everything starts with a Z. They don’t have Salads, they have Zalads, and fingers is fingerz.

The drive thru and dining room are open to the public. The hours of operation are:

Sunday through Thursday: 10:30am-9pm

Friday and Saturday the Drive thru will be open until 10pm.

For customer, opening Zaxby’s is like a return to his old home.

“I used to live a block away from one in Indy. I love the food and it’s a great atmosphere. The chicken strips are the best.”

Zaxby’s is also available through delivery apps like Grubhub, DoorDash, UberEats and Postmates.
