WASHINGTON -- Prayer is the common thing among your lawmakers in Washington after missile strikes from Iran hit US military targets in Iraq.

Multiple ballistic missiles were launched into Iraq from Iran overnight, targeting bases housing American troops, according to a statement from the Pentagon.

The facilities include Erbil in northern Iraq and Al Asad Air Base in western Iraq, the official said.

Rep. Jim Banks tweeted that he is prayer for U.S. troops in Iraq as did fellow Republican Sen. Todd Young and Democrat Rep. Andre Carson.

Banks said in his tweet that he had full faith in President Trump's decisions -- you did not get that from Carson's tweet.

Congressman Larry Bucshon tweeting he is praying as well and that the US will defend itself.

We’re keeping an eye on Sen. Mike Braun’s social media accounts.  So far, the Jasper native hasn’t released a statement.
