JASPER -- It's sentencing day for a woman charged in the murder of Darin Atkins in Birdseye back in 2017.

Sarah Andry is the second person charged with Atkins’ murder.  Her lover, Jason Atkins, was sentenced to 45 years in prison for his role in the murder.

Investigators say Jason Atkins admitted hitting the victim once in the head with a baseball bat, knocking him unconscious.  He says he left the room while Andry allegedly beat the victim with the bat a second, possibly even a third time.

An autopsy showed the man died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Prosecutors say it was a love triangle gone wrong.  CLICK HERE to read more about the crime.

Andry will be sentenced in Dubois County court this afternoon.
