Woman Arrested After Going the Wrong Way on I-64 and Hitting State Police Cruiser

WARRICK COUNTY -- A woman hit an Indiana State Police cruiser while driving the wrong way on I-64 in Warrick County Saturday. 

ISP says Angela Ayer of Dale was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-64 near Lynnville a little before midnight. 

A trooper was patrolling the interstate when he came across Ayer and tried to pull her over -- she did not. 

hat's when the trooper drove ahead of Ayer to warn other drivers of the wrong way driver. Ayer then collided with the trooper who was not injured.

 Later, it was discovered Ayer had a blood-alcohol content three-times the legal limit.
