DUBOIS COUNTY -- Election Day is now just under a week away and Dubois County voters are heading to the polls to cast early ballots by the thousands.

You can vote at the Schnellville Fire Station today from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Those are hours Thursday at the Dubois Library and Friday at the Birdseye Fire Station.

You can also vote at the Dubois County Annex today until 6 p.m.

The 35th Street Fire Station is also open today from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

On Thursday, the Huntingburg Event Center and Ferdinand Library will be open for voters to cast a ballot.

Last Saturday, the Ferdinand Library was open for Early Voting and the turnout was huge.

"It was just kind of a steady, consistent line the whole time through,"  explains Ferdinand Town Manager Chris James. "We got there about quarter after seven and got by the front door about 7:30 and they had a steady line the entire day."

Because of that huge turnout, Dubois County election officials are adding more voting hours at the Ferdinand Library.

It will now be open Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Remember, when you vote, you must bring a mask and photo ID.

For early voting, any Dubois County voter can cast a ballot at any open location. On Election Day, however, you must vote at your assigned precinct.
