Weekend Wreck Totals Three Vehicles in Huntingburg

Huntingburg - A weekend wreck totaled three vehicles in Huntingburg.

At approximately 10:35 a.m. Saturday morning, the Huntingburg Police Department was dispatched to a vehicle accident just west of Styline Drive on State Road 64.

Huntingburg Police determined that a Dodge Ram, driven by Robert Greene Jr., was traveling westbound on State Road 64 and did not notice Thomas Mundy’s Ford F-150 stopped on State Road 64 waiting for oncoming traffic to clear, so he could turn left. Greene struck the rear of Mundy’s vehicle which caused it to be pushed into the eastbound lane of State Road 64 into the path of oncoming traffic and Mundy’s truck was struck again on the passenger side by a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Julie Noblitt.

Injuries were reported on scene by all drivers.

Greene was treated and released on scene. Noblitt and Mundy were transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital due to injuries. The extent of injuries for Mundy and Noblitt are not known at this time.

Due to vehicles being disabled in the roadway State Road 64 was shutdown for approximately an hour.

At this time, citations issued in the wreck are unknown.

Assisting agencies on scene were Sternberg’s Wrecker Service, KARS Wrecker Service, Huntingburg Fire Department and Memorial EMS crews.
