Weekend Semi Crash Sends Driver to Memorial Hospital With Shoulder Injury

DUBOIS COUNTY -- A semi driver was sent to the hospital following a weekend crash on U.S. 231 in Dubois County.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday night near the intersection with West CR 1000 S.

Police say the 2018 Freightliner wasn’t hauling a trailer at the time of the crash.  Investigators say the driver left the roadway for an unknown reason, traveled through a field then into a ditch.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital for a shoulder injury.  The driver is being identified as a man from Florida.
