Water Main Work Along U.S. 231 in Huntingburg to Begin Monday

HUNTINGBURG -- Work on water mains in Huntingburg is expected to begin Monday.

The construction will span 11 city blocks along U.S. 231 between the following streets…

• 1^st - 3^rd Streets
• 5^th - 12^th Streets
• Maple and Chestnut Streets
• And 2^nd – 1^st Avenues.

Crews will begin on the south end of the project and work north.

The first part of the project will cost just over $1.3 million.  Work should be done by mid-September.
