Walking Juvenile leads to Parents Arrest

Jasper- Two people in Jasper are facing Child Neglect charges.

According to the Jasper Police Department press release, Officers found an undisclosed juvenile walking around the south side McDonalds just before 10:30 last night on his own. The Jasper Police department investigated and found him to be the child of Michael Brasell, 32, and Leandra McCormick, 31, both of Jasper.

A search warrant was issued after further investigation and JPD conducted a search of their residence. There, officers report finding paraphernalia and marijuana. Both Brasell and McCormick were charged and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.

Full Charges against Leandra McCormick:

• Child Neglect
• Possession of Paraphernalia
• Possession of Marijuana

• Child Neglect
