Wabash Valley to Launch New Food Company

Dubois- Wabash Valley Produce, Inc. plans to create a new food company, Wabash Valley Foods, LLC, to supply cooked egg products for a major customer partner.

The proposed expansion would include a new value-added egg production facility of approximately 90,000 square feet and an estimated investment by Wabash Valley greater than $60 million.  The project will also require Wabash Valley to initially hire over 30 new employees for the highly automated, state-of-the-art facility.

“Wabash Valley is excited about this growth opportunity for our business and employees, and we look forward to working with state and local leaders to bring this new value-added egg products plant to Indiana and Dubois County,” said Wabash Valley Produce, Inc. Co-Chief Executive Officers Roger Seger and Scott Seger.  The target completion date for the new plant is October 2024.

Wabash Valley is a vertically integrated egg products company with over 450 employees and operations across Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.  Wabash Valley was founded in 1964 by Jerry Seger and continues to be owned and operated by the second and third generations of the Seger family.  The company is headquartered in Dubois, IN.
