Visit Dubois County Calls for 16 Artists

Visit Dubois County, Inc. is calling for 16 artists for the second phase of their Dubois County Elevated Wayfinding, Artistic Branding project.

This project entails the installation of 19 wayfinding signs in select areas of Jasper, Huntingburg, and Ferdinand. While three of the signs will be placed at traffic lights, 16 will have a backside for cross traffic and foot traffic viewing. Visit Dubois County is seeking 16 different professional paint / mural artists for these back panels.

The idea behind this initiative is to (1) create an elevated brand experience, (2) assists visitor through navigational ques, (3) build awareness of amenities to visitors, (4) enhance experiences through the expression of art, and (5) solidify the worthiness of Dubois County as a destination.

The art panel size is 42” wide by 72” tall. If selected, each artist would be compensated $1,000 for their completed art panel.

The artwork will be displayed at a distance; thus, distance appeal is needed with up-close details not visible. Visit Dubois County will supply the panel, plus apply the sealant barrier for long-lasting longevity of the art piece (post rendering). Selected artists are responsible for all other needed art materials / supplies.

Visit Dubois County would like to offer special recognition of support to Dubois County Community Foundation. Their partnership allows for this “artistic expression” phase to come to fruition.
