Unattended Juvenile leads to Drug Arrest
Jasper- On Sunday morning, the Jasper Police Department arrested a man for possession.
The call started after the department received calls about a child left unattended at the Super 8 Motel. When officer’s arrived, they located the child with his father, Albert Apple, 43 of French Lick.
According a press release, officers believed Apple to be under the influence of a substance and deployed a K-9 officer. K-9 Officer Mack positively alerted to a presence within Apple’s vehicle and a search revealed Methamphetamine and a syringe.
Albert Apple was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Security Center for the charges below. His son was taken to the Jasper Police Department before being released into the custody of his mother.

- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Syringe
- Neglect of a Dependent
