Trooper Jordan Lee Recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving

Wednesday, in Bloomington, the Indiana chapter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) recognized Trooper Jordan Lee from the Evansville District for his extraordinary efforts in removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways. National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) data shows nearly 30 people die every day across the United States in drunk driving crashes. That staggering number averages one preventable death every 50 minutes, making the efforts of Trooper Lee even more commendable. Trooper Lee is a 4-year veteran and has already made a significant impact on impaired driving enforcement, arresting 73 impaired drivers. “Those numbers are impressive considering Trooper Lee has worked the dayshift for the last 14 months,” said Lieutenant Brian Bailey, Commander of the Evansville District. Trooper Lee is also a certified Drug Recognition Expert. “Trooper Lee’s enforcement efforts are definitely making our roadways safer,” said Bailey.
