Neil Weyer marked the end of his run as Chief Volunteer Officer. Neil stated “I'm grateful for
the opportunity I’ve had to serve the Y and the Community for the past two years. It's been
an exciting time as we were able to complete the Re-Imagine Your Y Campaign to further
meet the needs of our service area. I also would like to say thank you to all of the YMCA
staff. We are fortunate to have a great staff that excel in the positions they are in. I’m
looking forward to working with the new executive committee to see how we can continue
the great work the YMCA is doing for Dubois, Spencer, and Perry Counties.”
New board members were elected to a 3 year term. Aleesha Lopez, Sandy Smith, Jeremy
Lee and Reggie Hayes have joined the Board of Directors. CEO Mike Steffe says “I’m excited
to work with each of the new board members. They each bring a unique skill set and a
passion for serving the community.”
The YMCA board will be led by incoming CVO Marty Kaiser. Marty states “I appreciate the
accomplishments of our outgoing president, Neil Weyer, who hands me the reins with a
great Board of Directors and Y staff. I look forward to the challenge of guiding the Tri-
County YMCA as we continue to improve our services to the residents of Dubois, Perry and
Spencer counties. Finding additional ways to meet the needs of our communities will be a
priority during my term as president.”
