TRI-CAP's Elkins Wins Community Action Award
From Local Sources
JASPER -- During TRI-CAP’s semi-annual employee training day held Friday, April 26, 2019, TRI-CAP reviewed its 2018 outcomes, presented training to all staff members, and recognized employees with years of service awards.
TRI-CAP Board President Brittney Vincent was on hand to announce that TRI-CAP Housing Services Director Neil Elkins was the recipient of the 2018 Jane Chappell Spirit of Community Action Award, as selected by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
The promise or spirit of community action changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities and makes America a better place to live. It is caring about the entire community and being dedicated to helping people help themselves and one another.
During Jane Chappell’s 32 years of service at TRI-CAP, she embodied the very spirit of community action. She dedicated herself to helping people and changing lives. Each year we honor a person who also exhibits the same dedication to TRI-CAP and its mission: “TRI-CAP’s health, housing, and education services change lives, empower families, and improve communities.”
TRI-CAP is thankful for all of our staff, especially those who have achieved these milestones.
