Tornado Threat Today Comes as Holland's Warning Siren Remains Out-of-Service

BY: DAVID SHEPHERD, NEWS DIRECTOR / FORECASTER

HOLLAND -- The threat of tornadic activity today is especially concerning in the town of Holland where the tornado warning siren is still out of service.

Residents there should ensure their weather radios are working and have fresh batteries.  The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency suggests all county residents do the same, as the sirens are only supposed to be a back-up notification system for those outdoors.  It does not replace other sources of emergency information such as a weather radio, weather app or local media like WITZ.
