Tense Moments Thursday Morning in Richland After Man Enters Home, Fires Shots From the Window as Police Arrive

RICHLAND -- Tense moments Thursday morning in Spencer County after a man allegedly drove through a yard, hit a home, then forced entry into that home.

It happened just before 6:45 a.m. Thursday on Walnut Street in Richland.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they say the man was firing shots from a window.

He was taken into custody.  His name has not yet been released.  The investigation is ongoing.

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to notify authorities about any suspicious activity.
