Suspended Driver involved in Accident on Newton Street

Jasper- A Paoli woman with a suspended license was involved in a Sunday afternoon accident in Jasper.

Danielle Burton, 33 of Paoli, was traveling behind Shawna Shaffer, 31 of Huntingburg on North Newton Street just past 32^nd street. Shaffer slowed her vehicle for an emergency vehicle. Officers say Burton was following to close and did not stop in time.

Burton and Shaffer were checked by EMS on the scene and released. Burton was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Burton’s Ford Mustang was inoperable and deemed totaled.
