Spencer County Woman Arrested for Neglect of a Dependent and Battery
Spencer County - A Spencer County woman has been arrested on charges of battery of a child.
Indiana State Police Detective Sergeant Brock Werne initiated a criminal investigation on November 1, 2021 after receiving information from the Indiana Department of Child Services concerning allegations of battery against a child.
The investigation revealed that Megan L. Weddle, age 22, of Dale, Indiana, had allegedly battered a child under 14 years old. This was reported to have taken place in Spencer County.
After reviewing the investigation, Spencer County Prosecutor asked for a warrant for Weddle's arrest. Spencer County Circuit Court issued a warrant on November 1, 2021, and Weddle was arrested on the active warrant on November 1, 2021, by Detective Sergeant Brock Werne. She was taken into custody and transported to the Spencer County Jail without incident.
