Southwestern Indiana Remains Under Red Advisory in Wednesday Update

Dubois Co. - In Wednesday's COVID-19 briefing from the Indiana Department of Health, Dubois County recorded 17 new cases while the region remains under a Red Advisory.


On Wednesday, Dubois County recorded 17 additional COVID-19 cases and zero deaths. Over the course of the pandemic, the county has totaled 12,726 cases and 157 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The county has seen a dramatic drop in cases since a January surge fueled by the Omicron variant.

All of Southwestern Indiana, with the exception of Lawrence County, remains under a Red Advisory. Statewide, 52 Indiana counties stayed under a red advisory, 36 were downgraded to Orange, and four are under a Yellow Advisory.

In the latest update, the state saw a single-day total of 1,450 cases and 125 deaths attributed to the coronavirus.
