By: David Shepherd, Forecaster / News Director
AREA WIDE -- The entire area is under a slight risk for severe weather this afternoon into tonight.
Damaging winds and torrential rains will be the primary threats.
Water is already high across the area. Any additional rain today will only add to the local flooding.

Patoka Lake near Dubois has reached the spillway elevation. Officials with the Army Corps of Engineers say they high water will force increased releases at the dam, which will rise already swollen rivers downstream.
Rainfall forecasts indicate the lake will be at this level for a week or more.
If you reside in or own property in low-lying areas adjacent to Patoka River, you are urged to keep an eye on the weather and associated river levels that could impact you.
Areas around the shoreline may also be impacted because of the increased level of the lake.
