Senator Messmer Asks Residents to Respond to Survey

Local Sources - Indiana Senator Mark Messmer has sent out his weekly address.

Each year, I send a survey to constituents in Senate District 48 asking them to share their thoughts on issues facing our state.

I encourage you to participate in my 2022 constituent survey, which contains questions on a variety of topics that might come up during the legislative session. In addition, there's space on the survey where you can leave comments relating to any issue or concern you may have.

My survey questions this year ask what you think about businesses requiring employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, providing an ID number to vote by mail and other issues impacting our state and community.

All too often, Americans remain fixated on major decisions being made in Washington D.C., forgetting that in many ways, state government has an even larger impact on your day-to-day life. For example, the Indiana General Assembly passes legislation each session that deals with education, agriculture, economic development, infrastructure and other statewide topics. It's easy to see how these may affect your life, whether it be in the education of your children, your job, your daily commute or your health care.

Before taking my survey, I encourage you to think about what issues matter to you. What would you like to see improved in our community and state? This is a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts with me so that I can represent Senate District 48 to the best of my ability.

The deadline to complete my survey is Jan. 4.
