Senator Braun Named Speaker for Dubois County GOP Lincoln Day Event
Local Sources - The 2022 Dubois County Republican Lincoln Day Event will be held on Saturday, April 9th
at the KlubHaus 61 in Jasper.
This year’s event will be a luncheon. The doors will open at
11:00 am ET with the luncheon and program beginning at Noon.
U.S. Senator Mike Braun will
be the featured speaker. Reservations for the event are $35.00 per person and may be made

Mike Braun was elected to the US Senate in 2018. He currently serves on the Aging
Committee, Agriculture Committee, Budget Committee, Appropriations Committee and the
Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. He is a conservative focused on creating
American jobs, building a strong national defense, reducing the national debt and deficit, and
helping our veterans.
Mike graduated from Jasper High School in 1972, where he served as senior class
president and lettered in football, basketball and track. He went on to graduate from Wabash
College where he earned an economics degree, graduating summa cum laude, and served as
President of the Student Body. In 1976, Mike married his high school sweetheart Maureen
and entered Harvard Business School, earning an M.B.A. in 1978.
After graduating from Harvard, Mike returned to Dubois County to begin a successful
business career.
Throughout the years, Mike has served his community as a Member of the
Greater Jasper School Board and as State Representative for District #63. He is an avid
outdoorsman and enthusiastic mushroom hunter every spring.
The Dubois County Republican Lincoln Day Event is a party tradition honoring the first
Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, and recognizing the service of Republican
officeholders.
