Scammers Attempting to Steal Information Via Phone Calls

Network Indiana - Scammers are trying to steal people's social security numbers and personal information through phone calls, say Indiana State Police.

Investigators say that when you get a call, never assume the caller ID is correct or give out personal information over the phone.

They also say transactions made by prepaid card or wire transfer are nearly impossible to recover once they are sent.
