SCAM ALERT: A New Scam Targets Some Dubois County Residents, Local Officials Warn

JASPER -- The Dubois County Recorder’s Office is warning residents about a suspicious letter.

The letter has the resident’s information on it, including name and address.  It asks the victim to pay $89 for a recorded deed to their property.

Dubois County Recorder Jackie McPherron says her office did not send out the letter and she urges residents not to pay the fee.
