Scales Lake Park Beach Closed Due to E. coli Levels

WARRICK COUNTY -- The beach at Scales Lake Park in Warrick County has been closed until further notice due to E. coli.

Officials say weekly water tests showed a level of E. coli that exceeds the limit for beaches.

Although generally harmless, those officials say some strains of E. coli can cause illness.

There have been no reports of illness from this particular lake.
