Road Conditions Improve Some Friday, Dangerous Cold and a Big Snow Could Be on the Horizon

JASPER -- Road conditions are improving across our area today following several days of slick morning commutes.

Many Dubois County schools were on a two-hour delay on Friday.  Others, like Northeast Dubois Schools closed for the day.

Dubois, Spencer and Perry counties remain under a TRAVEL WATCH.  Main roads are fine in the county, but side some side roads are still icy.

We are watching dangerously cold overnight lows in the single digits Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights with wind chill values well below zero.

We are also keeping our eye on a potentially significant snow storm late Sunday night and through the day Monday.  It's too soon to put out totals, but, if the models are correct, this could be the biggest snow our area has seen in a number of years.
