* AT SAT 10:30 AM THE STAGE WAS 17.8 FEET.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 20.0 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FORECAST...RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY MONDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE TO RISE TO NEAR 21.2 FEET BY LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
* AT 22.0 FEET...LOWLAND FLOODING AFFECTS ALL LOCAL ROADS IN THE FLOOD PLAIN. FARMERS MUST MOVE SOME LIVESTOCK TO HIGHER GROUND. STATE ROAD 550 FLOODS ON LEFT BANK.
ROADS THAT FLOOD INCLUDE WEST RIVER, SPOUT SPRING, CEMETERY, EAST RIVER, CHICKEN FARM AND A FEW OTHER SIDE ROADS NEAR THE RIVER. EAST FORK WHITE RIVER FORMS AT LEAST ONE ISLAND. TWO FAMILIES ARE NEARLY ISOLATED. SIGNIFICANT AGRICULTURAL FLOODING IS IN PROGRESS. &&

AS OF SATURDAY MORNING FLOODING WAS IN PROGRESS ALONG THE LARGER RIVERS IN CENTRAL INDIANA. THE CREST ON THE WABASH WAS NEAR TERRE HAUTE, NEAR SPENCER ALONG THE WHITE, AND BETWEEN SPENCER AND BEDFORD ALONG THE EAST FORK WHITE. SMALLER RIVERS AND STREAMS HAVE CRESTED OR NEARLY CRESTED.
PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL RETURN TO CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA WITH RAIN ON SATURDAY THEN SNOW AND RAIN ON SUNDAY WITH LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS.
THIS PRECIPITATION IS NOT EXPECTED TO IMPACT ONGOING FLOODING. YET ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN WILL BE AROUND FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY, WITH HEAVIER ACCUMULATIONS THAT WILL PROLONG OR RENEW FLOODING. LOWLAND FLOODING AND ELEVATED RIVER LEVELS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK IN SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS. MODERATE FLOODING IS EXPECTED ALONG THE LOWER STRETCHES OF THE WHITE AND WABASH RIVER WITH MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ELSEWHERE.
FLOODING WILL AFFECT SOME LOCAL AND STATE ROADS, AGRICULTURAL LAND, RIVER PARKS, AND RIVER CABINS.
* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... MOTORISTS SHOULD NEVER DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATER. TURN AROUND AND GO ANOTHER WAY. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM FLOODED AREAS.
