Purdue Extension-Dubois County to Host October 4-H Expo

At the Expo, you will have the opportunity to find out more about 4-H Clubs in your community, exciting 4-H events, and learn more about 4-H projects. Enjoy various activities related to 4-H as well as prizes! There will also be free hot dogs, chips, and drinks at the event. Come out and see why you should be part of this fun and educational organization! The Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds are located at 4157 S State Road 162, Huntingburg, six miles south of Jasper. 

4-H is the largest youth organization in the nation. 4-H grows confident, capable, and caring youth with the life skills to thrive in today's world and succeed in their boldest dreams for tomorrow. 4-H programs are research-based and offer life-changing experiences to youth around the world. Traditional 4-H is for youth in grades 3-12. Mini 4-H is for youth in K - 2. In addition, we’re always looking for caring adults who want to help change lives by volunteering. 

As a member of 4-H, you can meet with friends, have fun, and be a part of several exciting trips such as: 

 4-H Roundup– 4-H members can explore a variety of careers on Purdue campus! 

 4-H Academy- is held at Purdue where participants can learn about science careers in a hands-on way! 

 Washington Focus– this is an exciting experience for 4-H members to visit the nation’s capital! 

 Camps—during camp 4-H members participate in activities such as: boating, swimming, crafts, and more! 

 4-H is an excellent program for strengthening your community through involvement and community service.
