POLICE: Jasper Child Burned, Had Fractured Skull, Parents Arrested

JASPER -- A Jasper couple has been arrested after police their 3-year-old was found to have been burned, with a fractured skull and multiple bruises.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after receiving a call from the Department of Child Services regarding an apparent abuse case.

35-year-old Ronald Morgan and 23-year-old Lisa Speedy were arrested and charged with two counts of Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury on a child under the age of 14.

Morgan was also charged with Battery on a person under the age of 14.

Speedy is additionally charged with Failure to Report
