Pipe Project Scheduled for SR 257 Between Otwell and Velpen

PIKE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for a pipe project on State road 257 between Otwell and Velpen

Beginning on or around Monday, April 26, contractors will restrict one lane of S.R. 257 between East Division Street and East County Road 50 E while contractors install a culvert pipe liner. The liner will extend the life of the structure at this location.

During the project, work will only take place during daytime hours with traffic controlled by flagging operations. Activity at this location is expected to wrap up by the end of May depending upon weather conditions.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
