Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine for Ages 5-11Now Fully Approved
Local Sources - Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines fully approved for children five to 11 years old.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Advisory Committee on
Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends the U.S. FDA’s amended Emergency Use
Authorization of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5-11. The CDC has also authorized
pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 to 11 years old.
Based on those recommendations, the Indiana Department of Health supports the
administration of pediatric doses to individuals who attest to meeting CDC guidelines.
The vaccine is now available to protect more than 610,000 young Hoosiers against
COVID-19.
Anyone 5 and older is now eligible to receive Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. A parent needs to
be present for anyone 5–18-years old. If this is not an option, you MUST complete the
CONSENT FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION FORM attached below. A copy of a parent’s ID
and insurance card must be included.
Starting today, you can visit www.ourshot.in.gov to schedule a
pediatric appointment or call 211 for assistance.
