Parishes selected for matching gift program

Local Sources- St. Boniface Parish and St. Meinrad Parish in Spencer County have been selected for the Catholic Community Foundation Inc. (CCF) Matching Gift Program. Gifts to the parishes’ specified endowments (see below) will be matched at 50 cents per dollar raised, up to $20,000. If the $20,000 goal is met, an additional $10,000 will be received from CCF.

St. Boniface Parish: Endowment for Pastoral Ministries

St. Meinrad Parish: Endowment for Facilities and Grounds

Parishes were selected that actively demonstrate strategic and intentional investing for the promotion and growth of existing endowments. These parishes also qualified for the CCF Matching Gift Program: St. Vincent de Paul, Bedford; Our Lady of Perpetual Help, New Albany; St. Michael’s, Charlestown; and St. Francis Xavier, Henryville.

Gifts received through December 31, 2023, are eligible for the matching gift program and can be made in cash or through a will, trust or estate.

Those who wish to make a gift are encouraged to check with your financial advisor or instruct your IRA custodian to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA directly to your parish.

A QCD allows you to make a tax-free gift directly to your parish or other qualified 501(c)(3) organization, including established local funds (managed by the Catholic Community Foundation Inc. and the Community Foundation Alliance of Perry and Spencer Counties). IRA owners must be 70½ years old.

If you write a check to the parish church, include the endowment name on the memo line:

St. Boniface Parish: Endowment for Pastoral Ministries (4852.300)

St. Meinrad Parish: Endowment for Facilities and Grounds (4852.200)
