Over 200 New Cases of COVID-19 Were Reported Sunday in Dubois County, Some ICUs Struggle With Capacity Issues

JASPER -- Over 200 new cases of COVID-19 were reported over the weekend in Dubois County.

110 cases were reported Saturday and 98 on Sunday.

It brings our county’s total to 3379 since the pandemic began.

No new deaths were reported over the weekend in Dubois County.  Our death toll stands at 34.

Our seven-day positivity rate was just over 19% on Sunday.  Dubois County is at a CODE ORANGE designation.  State officials will re-evaluate that code on Wednesday.

Elsewhere across the area: Martin, Perry, Crawford, Spencer and Warrick counties are also under  CODE ORANGE.  Pike, Daviess and Orange counties are under a CODE RED.

Officials in Pike County reported one new COVID-related death and 12 new cases on Sunday.

24 new cases were reported in both Orange and Daviess counties; 17 in Martin; 11 new cases in Crawford County; and 16 new cases were reported Sunday in Spencer County.

Meanwhile… We continue to keep an eye on our local ICU capacity.

17% of District 10's ICU beds were available as of Sunday.

There are a total of 215 ICU beds in District 10.

Locally, that includes Dubois, Daviess, Martin, Pike, Perry, and Spencer Counties and points west.
