Orange County Teacher Arrested on Child Porn Charges, Student Involved

ORANGE COUNTY -- A Springs Valley school teacher has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Police say 42-year-old Kari Buchanan of West Baden Springs turned herself in yesterday following a state police investigation into alleged incidents that occurred in December.

Investigators are not releasing many details, but they do alleged the teacher had inappropriate communication with a minor student.

Buchanan is charged with Felony Possession of Child Pornography.

She’s being held in the Orange County jail on $2,000 cash bond.
