Optimist Club of Jasper Donates Total of $12,000 to Local Groups

JASPER -- The Optimist Club of Jasper announces its most recent round of community grants during the holiday season.
A total of $12,000 was donated to six local organizations.
Community C.H.E.W. received $2,000 to support their program of providing meals to children. C.H.E.W. promotes an environment where children can thrive mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
The Community Food Bank received a $2,000 grant for their mission of providing food and basic household products to those in need.
Crisis Connection received $2,000 in support of their mission to end domestic violence and sexual assault within our community.
The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #138 received a $2,000 contribution in support of the “Cops and Kids” project for a day of shopping and fun that will benefit over 60 local children.
Koatz 4 Kids received $2,000 to provide gloves, coats, and hats for the upcoming winter months to families in need.
TRI-CAP received $2,000 to support their Holiday Shoppe program. The Holiday Shoppe is an opportunity for low-income families to ensure their children have Christmas presents this year.
The Optimist Club of Jasper is an organization dedicated to providing hope and positive vision. Their goal is to bring out the best in youth, the community, and people.
The funds that are being shared are raised through the Optimist Avenue of Flags program that involves over 1,200 homes in multiple neighborhoods within Jasper.
