Old Town Lake Boat Ramp Closed

The Town of Ferdinand announced the closure of the Old Town Lake boat ramp Thursday. The closure comes as work started on the newest trail as part of the Old Town Lake Trail project. The initial phase of construction being done by Suefert Construction, includes lowering the Old Town Lake's level by five feet, to assist with the installation of footbridges and portions of the walking trail.

As of Thursday, April 11th, the lake levels dropped three feet.  The lower levels resulted in the closure of the boat ramp, for the safety of the public and to prevent boat/trailer damage.

Persons wishing to fish from the bank are still allowed to do so at this time.  You may also "hand launch" smaller fishing or john boats at your own risk
