PATOKA LAKE -- We still don’t know what caused that massive fire at the Hoosier Hills Marina on February 19th.

Officials with IDEM have, however, released a report on the fire’s impact on the local environment.

The state environmental agency says water samples collected from the scene showed low levels of benzene, which has been shown to cause cancer.  But, those officials say the levels are below the EPA’s Maximum Contaminant Level.

Staff at Patoka Lake have taken more samples.  Those results are still pending.
