Haysville- The National Weather Service in Louisville says two record breaking tornadoes for the month of August in the region were a part of six total touchdowns last week.

“The most noteworthy one was the one that touched down in Haysville in Dubois County and worked its way to Paoli in Orange County,” said Ron Steve with the NWS Louisville office, “It was on the ground for almost twenty-six miles.”

That tornado was classified as an EF-1 early last week. A separate EF-1 tornado also broke the August record for longest touchdown near Paoli before heading into Washington County.

Three other EF-1 Tornadoes and an EF-0 were also tracked. Dubois County residents can report their damages to Indiana 211.
