Dubois- Northeast Dubois Intermediate has been given an update on its renovations.
In August of 2021, flood waters rose to nearly ten feet inside of the building. The gym, kitchen and lunchroom were all lost as a result. Now over a year later, the school corporation is ready to move forward with the repairs.
“Things are moving along,” said Northeast Dubois Superintendent Dr. Tara Rasche, "We have our building project about finished up and we are almost ready to go up for bids.”
A 2-million-dollar bond was issued for the corporation to use to help cover the cost of repairs. Dr. Rasche is hopeful work can begin when the weather allows in 2023.
