Dubois
- In a Tuesday night School Board meeting, the Northeast Dubois School Corporation named current Assistant Principal Andy Chinn as the future Principal of the school.

Current Principal, and future Superintendent, Dr. Tara Rasche made the recommendation of Andy Chinn to the board.

Chinn will begin his now position in the 2022-2023 school year at the Northeast Dubois Junior/Senior High School, where he is also currently the Head Coach of the girls' basketball team.

Chinn credits his familiarity with the school corporation with being the difference-maker in the announcement.

"I think it goes back to that I've been able to be Assistant Principal here these last two years," Chinn said. "Dr. Rasche and I have worked great hand-in-hand, and our whole administrative team - with Bill Hochgesang, Ryan Case, Courtney Hopf and all of our teachers - it's kind of a family atmosphere."

"Having the experience I've gained in these last two years, I think I'm in a good position to move up and continue the great things we're doing," Chinn added.

Chinn also took a moment to reflect, and thank, the Dubois community.

"I've had a great eight years here, I started as a sixth grade teacher not being from Dubois," Chinn said. "I feel like I'm part of the community, and I think that everyone has welcomed me in... Ryan Case took a chance on me and I've been surrounded by so many good people these past eight that ultimately led me to this position."

The board passed the motion unanimously.
