Northeast Dubois Intermediate School Floods for Second Time
Dubois- Northeast Dubois Intermediate School is once again dealing with flood water.
The damages are not as bad as last year, which forced to E-Learning due to flooding following heavy rain. According to Principal Ryan Case, “We had a little bit of water on the main floor of the building and the kitchen/cafeteria. We mopped up and the main areas of the build are good, but there was some water in the gym basement.”
The area that still is suffering from the flooding is the outside which is taking a little longer to drain.
Classes were able to be resumed after the Labor Day holiday. According to Principal Case, the recent flooding will not cause delay to the repairs from August 2021’s flooding.
Superintendent Dr. Tara Rasche issued the following statement:
"Unfortunately yesterday afternoon we once again had a large amount of rain in a short amount of time and we experienced some water and flood damage at our intermediate school."
