Nonprofit Organization Closing Local Office
Jasper- A local nonprofit organization is closing a location at the end of March.
In response to challenges affecting the healthcare industry, including shifts in patient volume, increased costs, and staffing restraints, Hosparus Health has announced plans to permanently close its Jasper office on Friday, March 31, 2023. The organization is working with the remaining patients and families to provide a seamless transition of their care by the end of the month. All remaining team members have transferred to the New Albany office.
“After thoroughly exploring alternative options, we determined closing the Jasper office was necessary for our organization to continue delivering on our 45-year commitment to providing compassionate care when it is needed most," said Hosparus Health President and CEO David W. Cook. “By consolidating our shared staffing resources, our teams can deliver timely responses, high-quality care, and the best overall experience for everyone we serve in Southern Indiana.”
Hosparus Health will continue delivering specialized programs and person-centered services to patients and families in Orange, Crawford, Washington, Scott, Jefferson, Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Southern Indiana.
“Though our footprint in Indiana is tightening, we feel this is the best path forward,” said Cook. “Scaling back to an eight-county region allows us to better support our care teams who go above and beyond every day to be there for patients and families when they need it the most.”
