Newburgh Man Arrested for Child Seduction and Molesting
Monday afternoon, September 23, Indiana State Police arrested Roger K. Ford, 71, of Newburgh, after a criminal investigation revealed he allegedly molested a 11-year-old girl during a private softball pitching lesson at a location near Lamar. Indiana State Police detectives initiated this investigation on July 11 after receiving information the coach had inappropriately touched the victim.
After reviewing the case, the Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office filed criminal charges on Ford and issued a felony warrant for his arrest. This afternoon at approximately 12:10 p.m., Indiana State Police arrested Ford at his Newburgh home without incident. He was taken to the Spencer County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
